A Sincere Offering

In today's world, people often deal in large amounts of money, making it seem like small gifts are insignificant. But God notices the smallest offerings just as much as the largest ones. When Jesus watched people giving at the temple, He said the widow's tiny offering was greater than all the large gifts, because she gave all she had, while the others gave out of their abundance.

God values even the smallest acts of love and kindness when they are done with a sincere heart. Jesus built monuments to people who did small things—like the widow who gave two mites, the person who offered a cup of cold water, and the woman who anointed His feet with perfume. She did what she could, He said. In God's eyes, the size of the gift doesn't matter, but the heart behind it does.
